Aromatherapy and tranquillity go hand-in-hand – and it goes without saying that I’m all about that life. I love promoting peace, a healthy lifestyle and all that is related to wellbeing – believe me, it’s anything but easy living in a fast-paced place like London. Coming back to where I started – Aromatherapy. The best thing about using essential oils is the fact that not only do they smell good, but they also fill you with a sense of peace and serenity even on your worst days. But, that’s not what I’m going to talk about today. I’m going to talk about the natural oils that don’t just have a sweet scent but can also be used on the face to enhance skin significantly.

#1 Jojoba Oil

I can’t stress enough on what a useful and great oil this is. That’s also the reason Jojoba oil is number one on my list of natural oils that really work. This all-rounder contains a variety of ingredients and the combination is great to combat a lot of skin-related issues. Jojoba oil is the least oil like oil that there is. Not to mention it also works wonders as an au naturel anti-ageing serum!

Jojoba oil consists of zinc, copper, silicon, chromium, Vitamin E & B complex. What’s more is that jojoba oil also contains 82% iodine which gives it significant healing power. The mixture of these ingredients also makes jojoba oil the most hydrating oil in the world. If you have oily skin, you’re likely to have second thoughts when it comes to putting any kind of oil on your face.

Jojoba oil actually helps you get that amazing one-toned skin that you so desire. The best way to use it is to leave it on overnight and allow the oil to work its magic. You don’t have to worry about waking up with a face covered in oil because it’s not thick at all – it has a very light consistency. Due to its hydrating nature, jojoba oil also helps rid you of dry or flaky skin texture, making it smooth and soft to touch. If you haven’t used it already, you should certainly give it a try – you will swear by it!

#2  Rosehip Oil

The rosehip oil is a favourite for girls all around the world. This oil smells so good you might have to stop yourself from gobbling it all up. The consistency of the oil itself is rather dry in comparison to other essential oils, but that doesn’t mean it’ll dry your skin. In fact, it is widely used as a moisturizer all around the world.

The rosehip oil consists of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin C which aids and heals scar tissue effectively. This oil penetrates successfully to the innermost layers of the skin, reviving cells which aid to increase collagen production. Another useful ingredient present in the oil is retinoic acid – the ingredient responsible for reducing and decreasing appearance of wrinkles and gives you a natural glow.

As a matter of fact, famous and beautiful women among the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Duchess Kate Middleton have confessed to using rosehip oil regularly – both of these women are known for their gorgeous and soft skin. You may find rosehip oil to be a bit drying, if and when used solely for long periods of time, but you can easily avoid that by mixing rosehip with some other oil from this list.

#3 Juniper Berry Oil

Juniper berries are one of the most recommended foods when it comes to personal care. In fact, if you consume juniper berries every single day for even as little as a week, you’re going to see the obvious results, not only on your skin but in a lot of other aspects as well. The oil that is extracted from these berries is just as remarkable – it’s magical!

Juniper berry oil contains all the goodness in liquid so you can apply it to your face, arms, and legs – absolutely anywhere you want. Juniper berry oil contains its natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties – making it suitable for prevention in the case of skin problems such as eczema, infections or even home remedy for acne.

This oil is also widely used to diminish the appearance of stretch marks and promoting beautifully smooth and even-toned skin. Other uses of the oil include sweet and quick relief from stress. It helps you fall asleep easily and peacefully, blurring outlines of anxiety and depression in your head. However, it’s advisable that you use this oil by diluting it with different oil ensuring that its ratio is 1:1 due to how strong the oil is.

#4 Frankincense Oil

Frankincense oil is one of those oils that you won’t find easily, but once you do, the benefits are truly striking and the results are obviously seen. It is most commonly used to diminish or reduce the formation of age spots or sunspots. Frankincense itself is commonly used in perfumes and incenses. It also helps to even out uneven tones anywhere on your skin including stubborn splotches or spots. In fact, if your main problem is uneven skin tone, then this oil is your go-to product without a doubt.

#5 Hemp Seed Oil

The most common for women all over the world are blackheads and enlarged pores – which cause breakouts and acne a lot more often than one can take. Hemp seed oil is the ideal solution for this problem. Not only does it make sure that the appearance of your pores is significantly smaller, but it also ensures that blackheads are the least of your worries.

Hemp seed oil also has anti-inflammatory properties which makes it an ideal treatment for eczema or psoriasis. However, due to the dryness of the oil, you should always use hemp seed oil in conjunction with different oil. Jojoba or castor oil works best in this regard. You can also use lavender oil which smells amazing and hydrates skin too!
